Simply the best in live tribal house and breaks. Maxwellhouse & Hawk are one of the very few electronic music acts who perform booty shaking, floor pounding, dance music on stage without pre-recorded back up tracks. Instead, they use a combination of live sequencing and playing to craft polished music that sounds like a record. Their live shows are always one of kind, and lucky for us they have decided to release a few select performances for our listening pleasure.  "We did a three month residency at Club Sugar in Santa Monica. It was a blast but it was a lot of work too. We learned so much doing that gig, what worked, what didn’t. The Sugar Sessions recording was done on one of those nights. On that particular evening, Max was playing drums and percussion from a Korg Triton and I was triggering bass lines and leads from Reason running on a 500 MHz Titanium. That set up has worked pretty well for us, though we are constantly evolving the system in order to have more power and spontaneity at our fingertips."
